In a rally organized by the BJP in north Delhi's Burari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was praised for decisions such as restarting land mutation in rural villages and eliminating the need for no objection certificates for power connections in some parts of the city. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva referred to these decisions as a "Diwali gift" for residents of villages and unauthorized colonies, citing that the issues were resolved after BJP MPs met with LG VK Saxena. The Modi government's actions were commended for addressing the electricity connection issues faced by millions living in unauthorized colonies and non-compliant areas of Delhi, as well as reopening property mutations after a twenty-year hiatus.

In response, AAP accused the BJP of taking credit for their government's work and attempting to mislead the public. The AAP highlighted that the Delhi government provides the most affordable electricity in the country and questioned why none of the 22 BJP-ruled states offer free electricity. Despite these criticisms, Sachdeva reiterated that the BJP cares for the rights of the underprivileged in Delhi and expressed confidence in the party's prospects in the upcoming elections next February. He also mentioned plans to extend electricity and water subsidies to middle-class households under their government. The prioritization of initiatives such as the Prime Minister's housing scheme, Ayushman Bharat, and the regularization of temporary workers like home guards, bus marshals, and guest teachers would be at the forefront of the agenda. Sachdeva questioned the AAP government regarding the demolition of slums by its departments, affirming that no such settlements would be torn down without offering alternative housing options to the residents under the BJP's administration. He further stated that the Yamuna River would be free of pollution within a year as part of the Nirmal Yamuna Plan.
